The African Governance
Assessment PlatformBridging the GAP between data producers and data users.

Over the past decade, the mushrooming industry of governance indicators has produced dozens of new indices and rankings on Africa. Such external assessments, however, have not had much impact at country level: governments and civil society alike continue to look for data generated locally, based on country-tailored methodologies, and inclusive of citizens’ voice.

The AfriGAP aims to give more visibility to the hundreds of country-specific assessment initiatives that are often missed or overlooked by data users.
